Pricing and duration

Set prices in ₦, pick honest durations, and use payment policies to reduce no-shows.

Prices are always in ₦

Tobinrin charges every booking in Nigerian Naira (₦) via Paystack. When you create or edit a service at /service-specialist/services, enter the price as a whole number — Tobinrin formats the thousands separator for display.

Pick a duration you will actually hit

Durations are picked from a dropdown that starts at 5 minutes and steps up in 5-minute increments to 12 hours, then 30-minute increments beyond that. The value you choose controls:

  • How much calendar space the booking takes on your calendar.
  • What time slots shoppers see as available in the booking flow.
  • Back-to-back buffer behaviour.

Under-estimating duration is the most common cause of back-to-back overruns and negative reviews. Round up rather than down if you are unsure.

Deposits and card requirements

Deposit and card-hold rules are set globally under Settings → Payments → Payment Policies. You can choose from:

  • No payment required — booking confirms without charging anything.
  • Deposit — take a flat ₦ amount or a percentage of the total up front.
  • Card required — hold the card without charging, useful when combined with a no-show fee.

Cancellation policies

Define what happens if a client cancels at Settings → Payments → Cancellation Policies. You can set a free-cancellation cutoff (in hours), partial-refund rules tied to different cutoffs, and an optional no-show fee (flat ₦ or percentage). The policy is shown to shoppers before they confirm a booking and determines how refunds are calculated.
