When you get a refund
When you cancel a booking, Tobinrin calculates any eligible refund from the booking's cancellation policy and online payment history. Review Cancellation Policy on the booking detail page and the refund amount shown before confirming. A cancellation does not always qualify for a refund.
A typical policy has three parts:
- Free cancellation cutoff — cancel more than this many hours before the start time and you are refunded 100%.
- Partial refund rules — each rule has a cutoff (hours before the appointment) and a refund percentage.
- No-show fee — a flat ₦ amount or percentage kept if you miss the appointment entirely.
The specific numbers vary by provider, so always review the policy before confirming a cancellation.
How the refund lands
Eligible online refunds are submitted to Paystack and normally return through the original payment method. Paystack advises allowing 3 to 10 working days for a refund. See Paystack's refund guidance.
Money paid directly to a provider in cash or by a separate transfer is not automatically refunded through Tobinrin. Contact the provider about those payments. If someone paid through Pay for me, the refund follows that payer's original payment.
Tracking a refund
Open the booking in My bookings to review the original payment details and the Cancellation Policy attached to that appointment. When you cancel, Tobinrin shows the refund amount in the cancellation flow before you confirm.
After cancellation, the booking is marked Cancelled, but that does not mean the refund has finished processing. Some refunds require support follow-up. If the refund has not arrived within the expected window, contact Tobinrin support with your booking and payment references. Support can check its status and help obtain a refund reference for your bank.
